Flanders Fields

Flanders Fields was a first person exploration remembrance game I designed, which nearly went into production, but the funding to build it was severed.

The design of Flanders Fields was centred around the stories of soldiers and civilians lost during the Great War, and how the world regrows anew.

The player would explore a present-day field and find remnants of the war, and keepsakes that belonged to some of the fallen. The keepsakes would contain real messages and letters from the actual people of the time.

The above video was an animatic based on an earlier storyboard I made, which was put together as part of the pre-production.
